Juan Carlos is a Partner of Bartolome & Briones, S.L.P. a Spanish full-service law firm and Head of the Employment, Compliance and Business Immigration Practice which he joined in 2003.
He advises clients regarding any employment issue, and he is especially notorious for his intervention and participation in collective bargaining processes, substantial changes to working conditions, downsizing and redundancy plans, individual objective dismissals, mergers, outsourcing, subcontracting and succession of contracts, senior management agreement and employment compliance policies. At this point, it is worth noting his experience in counselling not only private companies, but also public.
He has broad experience from an employment point of view on the sale and purchase of businesses and input units, being part of numerous Labor Legal Due Diligence procedures for companies in various sectors and involving several countries (Cross-Border Transactions).
Since he joined the firm, he has advised national and international companies with regards to their legal needs in Spain, from setting up to daily advice.
Finally, he acts as Compliance Officer being involved in several investigations’ procedures with special focus on employment.
