Bruce Aitken has had a successful career in multiple areas, including customs and trade. Bruce began his career at the World Bank and subsequently worked as a partner in boutique and international law firms in New York and Washington DC. Bruce’s experience includes trade cases under all major US trade laws and some overseas laws. In 1997, Bruce was named Legal Advisor to China’s State Planning & Development Committee on WTO accession. Mr. Aitken created and taught a law course on NAFTA and Trade Negotiations Training at Georgetown University (LL.M. Program), American University (LL.M. Program), and Malaysia’s Technology University. Bruce was named in a number of panels, including the U.S.-Canada FTA Dispute Resolution Panel, the NAFTA Dispute Resolution Panel, the WTO Dispute Resolution Panel, the WIPO Dispute Resolution Panel. Mr. Aitken has published over 100 economic and law journal articles.
